Design Methodology:
Projects generally start with a written requirement specification - or for simple part requirements, just detailed notes on a drawing. From the initial client discussions, Zoom will assemble the initial information and prepare a suitable requirement specification for the client to review. The requirements documentation can be as formal or informal as the client requires, however a written specification is essential to define the scope of work, the project deliverables and to confirm any schedule requirements within the project. Zoom understands that time is of the essence and will not use documentation to slow down a project but rather to ensure that the most important design work is undertaken - from the beginning!
A project can start from the phrase: "make me one of these" or "we need something that looks like this, but has the following modifications…" or the requirements can be more formally structured. Zoom will tailor the design process to suit the client's needs while still conforming to our design methodology. Maintaining a professional, orderly design process and providing the client with regular status reports, usually via email, Zoom strives to be responsive and results oriented.
