Zoom Technologies has selected a range of advanced software design tools to provide a rapid design and development capability. The right tools, along with comprehensive training and vendor support, give Zoom’s staff the ability to rapidly advance and implement the client’s vision. Zoom’s integrated manufacturing system electronically links the computer designed part - right into the machining equipment making that part. Design changes can be incorporated into finished parts in record time.
The principal design and manufacture tools are:
- IronCAD - the productivity leader when it comes to moving creative ideas into full 3D reality. It utilizes a breakthrough Creative Design approach that delivers a level of design freedom unmatched in the industry today. IronCAD is the tool of choice for design engineers when deadlines are tight and a high degree of unanticipated change is to be expected. IronCAD is able to import native files from Solidworks, Inventor, Solid Edge and many other leading CAD packages.
- Visual Mill - CAM software for Milling is ideal for rapid-prototyping and general machining. This product includes 2-1/2, 3, 4 & 5 axis machining functionality.
- Edgecam - CAM software for Turning provides functionality for 2-axis lathes, multi-turret configurations, sub-spindle turning centers and mill/turn machines. C-Axis milling and drilling take place within the same program as the turning to provide a fully integrated and associative programming solution.
- ArtCAM Pro – CADCAM software for artistic 3D Design and CNC machining of molds. Sculpted 3D relief models can be created from a bitmap file and converted into engravings.
- CorelDraw – provides enhanced vector illustration tools and file conversion capabilities. PhotoPaint and CorelTrace enable the manipulation of bitmap images and conversion of fonts into high-quality vector objects for engraving. These tools provide the ability to engrave virtually any Windows or Mac font.
Additional design tools for electronic design and microcontroller programming include Circuitmaker, MPLab, Visual Basic, PIC Basic Pro, PIC-C Compiler etc.
